Best Review - Top 3 Short Film Reviews - Movies Under 1 Hour In Length

I watch a lot of movies. Feature length films, epic films and the occasional very good and no so great short films. I watch so many films that I lose track of what I have seen. Friends ask me if I have seen any great movies lately and, even if have seen an incredible movie, I have to pause and think about it a bit. To keep track of the flicks I watch, I started keeping a blog that journals what have a watched. In addition to noting the name of the movie, I write a film review to go with it.

I have seen a few short films that I think you might like as well. For sake of this post let's definite a short film movies under 1 hour long (less than 60 minutes). I'll give you a brief summation of them below. Click on the link associated with each film and check out my review if you'd like. It should help you to decide if you want to spend your time watching these flicks that are very short in length.

Each of the three flicks below are completely different genres of movies. Very interesting and definitely not for everyone. It was hard to rank them. Check the reviews out to see if they are right for you.

See The Sea - 51 Minutes Terrific Short French Flick

"See The Sea" is a low key but slyly suspenseful drama. I watched the film in English subtitles as most of it is spoken in the French language. The film is set in a French territory (commune) on the Ile d'Yeu. A beautiful English woman and her baby are on a nearly secluded beach paradise. A stranger shows up asking if she can stay awhile. The comradery and tension begins....

This movie takes its time but is over in less than an hour. It is 51 minutes long and that time is just enough. No more or no less. It stars Sasha Halls and Maria De Van. Why Did The USFL Go Out of Business? "Small Potatoes" Movie

If you love football and were watching pro football in the 1980's it is very likely that you remember the United States Football League. This short, under one hour documentary, looks at the rise and fall of the USFL. It examines why the USFL went out of business. Did Donald Trump, trump the league's chances of survival? Did other influences cause it to fold? Mike Tollin produced this short film. Is this sports documentary the right film for you? It is less than 60 minutes long but I suggest checking out my review first to see if it is something you would like to watch. What Happens When Bombed By Nuclear Weapons - The War Game

So what would happen if a country was bombed by nuclear weapons. What is the reality of an atomic war? Would there be enough resources to help the survivors? What happens when cities are evacuated when nuclear war is immanent?
The movie "The War Game" is a short, mockumentary film that looks at these consequences surrounding an atomic war and more. Pretty harrowing film. Is the War Game a film that you want to watch? If you are looking for a quick movie or two to watch, short films are the way to go. Movies under one hour long are not easy to find. They are not as prevalent as feature length films. My suggestions above should help point you in the right direction.
